Year 11 Food and Nutrition

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Ms L. McKinlay.

Students will learn about essential nutrients, their function in the body and how food choice impacts on overall wellbeing. They will continue to develop food preparation skills including food safety alongside their growing nutritional knowledge. 

Assessments include both written internals and exams.

Please note: 

Students cannot select this course and Health Education due to a cross over of assessment.

Recommended Prior Learning

Open – Good literacy skills and an interest in food preparation and nutrition are essential.
