Year 11 Textiles Technology
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Ms S. Turner.
Focusing on the Technology Curriculum students will learn about using different textile technologies to design, develop and produce solutions for clients, stakeholders and end-users. During the year all students will learn to use the technological design process to produce their outcomes along with the history of textiles and sustainability in the textile industry.
Students will have a wide range of projects they can choose from depending on their interests. This course is open to all students, but some experience in sewing or handcrafts is an advantage.

Please Note:
Assessment:
Depending on student interest areas, they will be offered a range of unit and achievement standards. Most will be internally assessed.
Course Cost:
$20 for base fee for take home project. Additional costs will apply depending on individual projects that are designed and constructed. Own textiles can be provided from home.
Recommended Prior Learning
Available to all students, Yr 10 Textiles is not a pre-requisite for this class.
