Year 13 Mechanical Engineering

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mr L. Newsome.

Course Description: This course will further develop the Engineering skills learnt in year 12. With a focus on Engineering machining students will learn to use hand tools, power tools and fixed machinery to achieve high quality outcomes. Students will complete 2D/3D computer aided drawings, parts and assemblies. Students will also further develop responsibility, self-directed work habits and the ability to work with others as well as an understanding of safety in the Engineering workshop. 

 Course Cost: $50 for take home materials.

Recommended Prior Learning

Students would benefit from having completed a Level 2 Engineering course.
