Course Description: This course focuses on strategies to meet needs for well-being and analysis of health issues as well as the conception of personal, cultural and national identity.

National Health Issues
International Health Issues
Current Health Practices in New Zealand
Contemporary Ethical Issues
Models for Health Promotion
Assessment: Up to 19 credits available at Level 3.
3 Internal Achievement Standards – 14 credits.
1 External Achievement Standard – 5 credits.
Prerequisites: Senior Health Level 2 or by arrangement.
Recommended Prior Learning
Senior Health Level 2 or by arrangement.
